Wildlife Rehab in Laurel, Del.
Have you ever wondered what to do with an abandoned wild animal? One of the first things you need to do is call a wildlife rehabilitator. There are not a lot of them around, but we found one outside of Laurel, Del.
Ruth Townsend, from Laurel, Del., takes care of them if they are abandoned babies or injured adults. Once they are better, and able to do things on their own again, she releases them back into the wild. Ruth said she has also taken care of baby deer.
The few other wildlife rehabilitors on the shore rely on their own money and donations to support the animals they rescue. Ruth does this simply for her love of animals.
