Caitlyn Twilley, marketing coordinator for Frontier Town, said the Wild West Fest & Frontier Days Celebration “is going to be even bigger and better than last year, bringing dozens of cowboys from along the East Coast for special shows and competitions, like cowboy mounted shooting, quick draw competitions, chuck wagon cooking, and a cowboy poetry open mic.”
Twilley said participants will be reenacting several authentic 1880s Western shows not ordinarily presented during Frontier Town’s regular season.
Other events this weekend will include:
- 1880s Western shows and Cowboy camp reenactments
- Pig roast
- Native American dancing
- Can can shows
- Steam train and stagecoach rides
- Western musical entertainment
“It’s a family event,” Twilley said. “This is the perfect place to experience the Wild West right here on the East Coast. We’re inviting the residents and visitors of Delmarva to join us this weekend.”
