What’s the Difference? – Cold Brew Coffee vs. Hot Coffee
We’ve got a new segment premiering today titled, “What’s the Difference?”
Sean joins us from Rise-Up Coffee‘s east college location in Salisbury to explain what’s the difference between cold brew coffee, iced coffee, and hot coffee.
Colin Eck with Rise Up Coffee tells us the difference between hot brew coffee and cold bree coffee.
Hot brewed coffee is brewed with hot water straight into a pot. It is filtered with a regular paper filter and is usually served close to 198-200 degrees. It takes about 7-10 minutes to brew.
Cold brew coffee is ‘new in the coffee industry,’ Colin says. The cold brew coffee is not heated. Rise-up infuses cold brew coffee with nitrogen. Cold brew coffee takes more than 24 hours to make.
