Today we are learning about a group that’s been around for 125 years, Daughters of the American Revolution. Members of the Samuel Chase Chapter of Daughters of The American Revolution Lee Ellen Griffith and Dotty Semotchko are descendants of contributors to securing the independence of the United States of America. Find out how they are helping today’s veterans and those still serving.
We teamed up with the staff at About Faces Day Spa and Salon to learn some of the season’s trendiest makeup looks and most popular styling gadgets.
Lisa is also teaching us how to make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Energy Balls.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Energy Balls
3 cups dry, uncooked oatmeal
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 cup peanut or almond butter
2/3 cup maple syrup or honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
4-6 Tbsp. ground flax seeds
1 cup chopped nuts or coconut or combination
1/2 cup mini dark chocolate chips
Combine all ingredients together in a medium bowl until very thoroughly mixed.
Roll into balls about 1″ in diameter
Place on cookie sheet covered in parchment paper and freeze for one hour
Store in airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to one week.
