What’s Happening Today – October 1, 2018
Today on DelmarvaLife:
We’re playing DelmarvaLife trivia. A few of our lucky audience members will pick up great prizes if they have the correct answers.
The doctor is in the house! Chief Informatics Officer & Hospitalist with Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Dr. Chris Snyder, stops by for another round of “Ask the Doc.” Today, he’s addressing bone broth, germs and the popular Ketogenic Diet.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! President of Spicer Bros. Construction, Brian Spicer, stops by to kick off Delmarva’s Neediest Roof contest. Once again, the company is giving away two roofs this year – one to a homeowner in Maryland or Delaware, and one on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Nominations open today! Brian will announce the two winners in December on DelmarvaLife.
Gardening expert Ginny Rosenkranz, with the University of Maryland Extension Office, helps us exercise our green thumb. We’re talking fall gardening today. Ginny has a few flowers and plants that thrive during Delmarva’s beautiful fall weather.
We’re also playing cornhole today. Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan stops by to take on Lisa and Jimmy. He’ll also get us in the loop on some of the fall fun you’ll find this season in Ocean City. Clear your calendar because there’s lots to do!
Jimmy & Lisa pull two people from the audience to play “Picture This.” Wait ’til you see our new friends’ renditions of their homes and a hot rod.
We’re excited to introduce you to the “The Fam Band.” They’re on the Mid South Audio Stage performing a classic Paul Simon song, and an original that’ll have you swaying to the music.
