What’s Happening Today – Oct. 31, 2016
Today on DelmarvaLife:
Lung cancer are two words that changed Deena Cook’s life. Deena and Coordinator of Peninsula Regional Medical Center‘s Lung Cancer Program, Brenda Martin, join us in the studio to talk about lung cancer and the stigma attached to it.
Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan joins us as we get to know the man and not just the mayor. We learn about what Rick loves most about Ocean City, his love for irish heritage and being the President of the Delmarva Irish American Club, and play a game of cornhole confessions.
It’s time for DelmarvaLife’s “Hallowin” Costume Contest! Your creativity and cleverness could win you a $50 gift card to Vernon Powell. From now through Nov. 3, upload a picture of your Halloween costume to DelmarvaLife.com/Halloween or post it on Instagram using the hashtag, #DelmarvaLife. Starting Nov 4, people can go to our website and vote for their favorite costumes. On Nov. 11, the top three costumes will be declared winners, and they will each receive a $50 gift card to Vernon Powell.
If you’re playing in our High School Football Showdown, be sure to get your picks in and keep checking the leader board to see where you rank among the competition. If you haven’t registered to play yet, it’s not too late! Enter here. Each correct prediction accumulates points and the highest scoring player will have the chance to win a trophy delivered to you by WBOC Sports Director, Matt Pencek, in Chopper 16.
