Today on DelmarvaLife –
Milton was originally founded as “Head of the Broadkiln” in 1763. It was later renamed Milton in honor of the famous poet. A thriving shipbuilding industry supported the growth of the community, as did button factories, and the shipping of agricultural products. Today, the town is still going strong, and it’s all thanks to Milton’s passionate people, and their commitment to community.
The hottest ticket in town can be found at the Milton Theatre. Like many other landmarks in town, it’s got a whole lot of history as DelmarvaLife’s Katie Zarrilli shows us.
The town of Milton is where you’ll find Dogfish Head Craft Brewing. 102.5, WBOC’s Corey Phoebus takes us on a tour of the brewery and finds out how the “off-centered” beer has planted solid roots in Milton.
For nearly 15 years, Irish Eyes Pub and Restaurant has called the town of Milton home, and it’s easy to see why the people have welcomed the eatery in the community with open arms.
The Butcher Block opened up in February of 2016. It’s a meat market with a “mom and pop” feel. DelmarvaLife’s Katie Zarrilli checks it out.
What started out as a small bistro has turned into the perfect place to get coffee, sandwiches, even a build-your-own pizza bar. But, that’s not all. The Suburban Farmhouse Coffee Bistro and Dough Bar can satisfy whatever your taste buds are craving.
