The 39th Annual Christmas Bazaar at Atlantic United Methodist Church in Ocean City, Md. is Friday, Nov. 10 from 3 pm-7 pm and Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10 am-2 pm. They will have a silent auction, bakery delights and gifts, white elephant treasures and more. On Friday, the church will be serving an Italian dinner with baked ziti and meat sauce, salad, Italian bread and a drink for $8.50. from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm. Homemade desserts will be available for purchase as well. You can also pre-order carry-out by calling 410-289-7430. On Saturday, lunch will be served from 11 am-1 pm. Lunch choices are a chicken salad platter served with chips, cole slaw, and a pickle for $6.50, Italian sausage sub platter served with chips, cole slaw and a pickle for $6.50, or homemade chicken noodle soup for $3.00. Desserts and beverages will also be available. Proceeds benefit the Atlantic United Methodist Church.
The mission of the Forge Youth and Family Academy is to break the cycle of bad choices. The group brings hope to children and families through faith and provides a drug, alcohol, bully, judgement and worry free space to gather, play and socialize. One of the founders of the Forge Youth and Family Academy, Robert Shrieves, and Vice President of the Academy’s Board, Kristin Turner, joins us in the studio today to talk about their upcoming food drive. The event is on Friday, Nov. 17 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm at Forge Youth and Family Academy in Selbyville, Del.
