What’s Happening Today – Nov. 22, 2016
Today on DelmarvaLife:
Every holiday season, we visit Park Place Jewelers in Ocean City. Sean stops by Park Place Jewelers today to show us popular gift ideas.
By now, you’ve got your meal planned for Thanksgiving. Wondering what to do with the leftovers? Musical Chef, Johnny Mo from Mallards at the Wharf in Onancock, joins us in the kitchen to make the “best Thanksgiving leftover sandwich ever.”
Leftover turkey breast slices
Your favorite sprouts
Nice thick grain wheat bread
1/2 can whole cranberry sauce
1 T orange zest
1 qt mayo
Mix cranberry sauce, mayo and orange zest together. You’ll be glad you have this for the holiday season! Keep refrigerated.
Now to build your sandwich! Spread cranmayo generously on each piece of bread, add a good portion of sprouts (lettuce could be substituted) then tomatoes, cheese, top with that gorgeous turkey breast, finish with slice of bread. Cut in half and enjoy!
Justin Barnes of FurnitureLand says the popularity of the show Fixer Upper is big here on Delmarva. In fact, Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia line is the first thing you see when you walk through the doors of FurnitureLand. Lisa stops by FurnitureLand in Delmar to hear all about their new renovations at the store and showcase the new looks and new lines like Joanna Gaines Magnolia Furniture.
It’s a mystery that has baffled the world for decades. What happened to Amelia Earhart, after she took off for a trip around the world? A group of dedicated people thinks we’re getting close to finding the answer. WBOC’s Steve Hammand recently got a chance to sit down with the expedition leader to learn more. See the full story, “Finding Amelia,” tonight on WBOC News at 6 pm.
A week ago, Sussex County Federal Credit Union made the announcement that they would officially become Tidemark Federal Credit Union. The name represents the credit union as it expands on Delmarva, into Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset counties. What do you really know about a credit union? Kelsey Dunn and Chris Phillips, both business development officers with Tidemark Federal Credit Union, stop by the studio to tell us how we can benefit from a credit union.
Be sure to tune in today at 5 pm!

Our goal is to get enough money to local charities so they can buy a present for every child in need here on Delmarva. If you would like to donate and help, send your card and donation to Bless Our Children in Care of WBOC, 1729 N. Salisbury Blvd. 21801 or you can donate online at wboc.com.
