What’s Happening Today – Nov. 21, 2017
Today on DelmarvaLife:
Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, and etiquette skills are a must when it comes to the big feast. Are cell phones at the table polite? Do you have to arrive to your destination with something in hand, like a dish or a drink? We’ll answer those questions for you tonight when etiquette expert Grace Foxwell Murdock, Owner of Professional Grace, joins us in the studio.
Christmas is underway and Salisbury’s Winter Wonderland is back to bring in the holiday! We have the founder of Wyatt’s Warriors, Jen Shipe, and the President and CEO of the Greater Salisbury Committee, Mike Dunn joining us on the show to talk about this festive event. The tree lighting will be on Sat., Nov. 25, at 5 pm. The hours of operation for the ice skating rink will be Nov. 25, Noon – 8 p.m. and Nov. 26, Noon – 5 p.m. at Salisbury City Park.
We are also fighting cancer with fashion this holiday season with the American Cancer Society’s Holiday Wrappings Fashion Show in Ocean City, Md. We welcome Chair of the Holiday Wrappings Fashion Show, Dawne Pappas, and Chair of Fashion, Jan Patterson, to tell us all about the show and how it is for an even bigger cause than you can imagine. All the proceeds of the show will benefit the American Cancer Society. There will also be an opportunity to light a candle on a birthday cake in honor or memory of a loved one. The show will be on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center and check-in is at 10 am.
