What’s Happening Today – Nov. 16, 2017
Today on DelmarvaLife:
Ready or not, here comes the cold. WBOC Chief Meteorologist Dan Satterfield stops by to talk winter weather. Are we in for a doozie? Or will Mother Nature keep it mild? Dan shares his insight, and even talks about the possibility of a white Christmas!
Laying wreaths to honor our fallen heroes – it’s all part of “Wreaths Across America.” Perdue‘s Director of Transportation, Tim O’Hea, and Veteran and Perdue Truck Driver, Keith Clark, stop by to talk about Delmarva’s role in this effort. Find out what’s going on next month, and why all eyes will soon be on Salisbury, as we pay homage to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Do you feel like you type too much and your fingers and hands pay the price? Or perhaps you try everything in your power to get your little one to eat, but they just won’t cooperate. They’re both topics Dr. Chris Snyder from Peninsula Regional Medical Center addresses in today’s “Ask the Doc” series. No topic off limits! If you’d like to submit a medical question, email it to email@example.com. You will remain anonymous!
Get ready to see something spectacular next weekend. It’s the Wicomico Yacht Club‘s 30th Annual Christmas Boat Parade. It’s a gorgeous event that benefits Toys for Tots, and it’s a bit more meaningful this year, after a fire at the Yacht Club last December destroyed the building. Even after the challenges that can come with rebuilding such a structure, the mission to give back to children on Delmarva continues. 102.5 WBOC’s Corey Phoebus explains.
What do you really know about social security? That you’ve been paying into it for most of your life? That you’ll depend on it when you’re older to pay the bills? Maybe not. We check in with our friends from Andersen Wealth Management in Salisbury and Easton to find out why everything you thought you knew about social security, may not be true.
