What’s Happening Today – Nov. 16, 2016
Today on DelmarvaLife:
There’s a real art to meat and cheese. It’s called charcuterie. Sean recently stopped by Gilbert’s Provisions in Berlin to hang out with a guy who has a passion for it. Toby Gilbert opened Gilbert’s Provisions in August 2016. He joins us in the DelmarvaLife kitchen today to make a charcuterie board with us.
Every year, Bennett Farms Gift and Garden Center transforms its greenhouse into a Christmas shop to help give you a few ideas on how to spruce up your display. Sean stopped by Bennett Farms to see some of the items they have in stock for the holidays.
Every week on DelmarvaLife, we like to showcase some of Delmarva’s local talent – pianists, singers, bands. Did you know there is other music-related talent right here on Delmarva that isn’t necessarily a musician. The songwriter of “Itsy, Bitsy, Teeny, Weenie Yellow Polka-dot Bikini” is from Sussex County. In Queen Anne’s county, there’s a guitar maker who makes guitars for Carlos Santana. WBOC’s Tom Lehman joins us today because he actually sat down with the man who makes these guitars. Hear the full story about Paul Reed Smith tonight on WBOC News at 10 pm.
For the past few days, we have been telling you about events on Delmarva that honor our veterans. This weekend, veterans on Delmarva can receive free dental care and it’s all thanks to Veterans Dentistry from the Heart. The event is Nov. 19 from 7 am-5 pm at Eastern Shore Smile Solutions. Arrive early because they will be operating on a first come, first serve basis. No cost, you just need military ID when you arrive.
Be sure to tune in today at 5 pm!
