What’s Happening Today – May 18, 2018
Today on DelmarvaLife –
Do you walk your dog, or does your dog walk you? Today, we’re getting a lesson with Karen Cottingham and Ginny Rosenkranz with the Salisbury Kennel Club; and their dogs, Terry the Golden Retriever, and Penny the Sussex Spanielon. They’re teaching us how to walk your dog on a leash, so Fido isn’t pulling you all over town
We are looking forward to hanging out with the band “Deja Vu” on the Mid-South audio stage this afternoon.
They’re a fairly new group, but they’ve already built up quite a following. We can’t wait to hear what they can do!
Traditionally, the first day of summer is around June 20th. However, this year in Ocean City, Memorial Day will mark the first day of summer. We caught up with Mayor Rick Meehan to learn about a new tradition he’s starting in Ocean City, in which he plans to plant over 100 umbrellas in honor of the first day of summer. DelmarvaLife’s Sydney Whitfield with a few other people on the Ocean City Boardwalk to learn about what some of their summer traditions are.
Before we kick off the summer season, we have to make sure your child’s education is settled. If you’re still unsure about next school year, we’ll put your mind at ease when we visit St. Thomas More Academy in Magnolia.
We’ll show you why you’ll want to consider an education here, and how this school stands out from many others on Delmarva.
