We often see flags displayed to honor our military heroes. But tomorrow, flags are going to be put up to honor a different group of people. Those on the front lines of COVID-19. We talk with Bill Huntley of the Rotary Club of Lewes-Rehobeth Beach, to find out where this display will be put up and how the public can get involved.
A local school is calling on the community to help them win a competition! Worcester Technical High School entered a National Safety video for the SkillsUSA/CareerSafe contest and they are 1 of 12 national finalists! We talk with Assistant Principal, Brian Phillips and Teacher, Rick Stephens, to discuss what the competition is and how the community can vote.
How about some good news for this Friday? Kona and Marple, from last weeks Pet Connect were adopted! We love to hear stories of our Pet Connect cuties getting adopted! If you too are looking for a friend to take home, we have some friends who are ready to go to their fur-ever home.
Three years ago, Waverunner first performed on the Mid South Audio Stage. Over the years we’ve gotten to know the lead singer, Aaron Maloney. Aaron joins us via Zoom today to talk about his new band called, “It’s All Good.” Plus, he’s performing a song from the musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
There’s nothing better than good ole’ fashioned comfort food. Chicken Salad Bake combines the best flavors of the old and the new. You’ll want to take this to every potluck and it’s going to become one of your favorite dishes! Check out the recipe below.
What You’ll Need
- 3 cups chopped cooked chicken
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 (2-ounce) jar chopped pimientos
- 1 (10-3/4-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 3/4 cup (3-ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup crushed potato chips
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine chicken, celery, onion, pimientos, soup, and mayonnaise; mix well and pour into an 8-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and potato chips.
- Bake 20 minutes, or until heated through.
