What’s Happening Today – March 29, 2019
Today on DelmarvaLife –
Today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day, and we were honored to have three Vietnam War vets in Historic Studio D today. They are members of The Short Term Memories that played on the Mid South Audio Stage. Thank you to all who served!
Ocean City will son be full of tourist on vacation, but not before it’s hit by a sea of pink. The pink represents the fight against breast cancer. For Susan G. Komen Maryland, it’s more than pink. That’s what the More Than Pink Walk is all about. Lori Yates of Easton is a 15-year breast cancer survivor and Eastern Shore Grants Manager at Susan G. Komen Maryland. She talks about the event, and tells her personal.
Boating season is almost here. It technically kicks off around May, which means you want to start thinking about maintenance right now. Bluewater Marine Specialist, in Cambridge, is at your service. They specialize in boat care. DelmarvaLife’s Sydney Whitfield finds out just how excited they are for the season ahead during their grand opening in Cambridge.
Saturday is the annual St. Joseph’s Festival in Ocean City. Put on by The Sons and Daughters of Italy, this event celebrates food, family, and fun, Italian style. Today, in the Kirby and Holloway kitchen, we learn to make Italian sausage subs and ravioli ahead of the big festival.
We get a taste of the entertainment scheduled for the St. Joseph’s Festival, too. The Short Term Memories band take the Mid South Audio stage.
It wouldn’t be a Friday without Pet Connect. Find out what adorable dogs, cats, and guinea pigs… yes, guinea pigs, are looking for a loving home.
