WBOC broke ground on a solar farm this afternoon. Lisa got a chance to get outside for a closer look at the new and exciting opportunity. For years, station leadership has worked on a plan to utilize the land behind our Newsplex. Over the next few months, the team from Ultra Solar & Wind Solutions will put up Federal Aviation Administration-approved, No-Glare Panels. The solar farm is designed to provide 100% of WBOC’s energy requirements. Combine that with the environmental benefits of the solar panel farm, this project is like a ray of sunshine.
