Ryan and Emily Groll, owners of the food delivery truck Eat Sprout based out of Trappe have got you covered with their healthy alternatives to some of your favorite meals. DelmarvaLife’s Sydney Whitfield met up with them to discuss how they came up with the idea, how this journey began for them, and how their lives have changed.
With over 1.5 million inmates in America’s prisons, those working to protect them must be strong and independent leaders. The Maryland Department of Corrections is looking for those leaders to join the force. Here today to speak to us about this is Michael Zeigler, deputy secretary of operations. He talks to us about why the job is so important, why someone should choose this career path, and qualities of ideal candidates. The Maryland Dept of Public Safety and Correctional Services will be at the WBOC Job Fair this coming Saturday if you would like to learn more about possibly becoming a new recruit.

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, shamrock shakes have come back for their seasonal appearance. But, with all the calories found in just one shake, you may be wishing there was a way to make a healthier version. Well, Michael Dondarski of Dover is with us in the DelmarvaLife kitchen today to help us do just that!
Healthier Shamrock Shake
Ingredients:
- 2 over ripe bananas (cut and frozen)
- 3/4 cup coconut milk
- 1 package mint leaves
- 1 1/2 cups of spinach (approximately 2 handfuls)
- 2 packets Stevia sweetner
- 1/4 tsp. mint extract
- Dark chocolate chips (optional)
