What’s Happening Today – June 13, 2016
Today on DelmarvaLife:
We are so excited to introduce Delmarva to a remarkable young woman named Freedom Wilson. Four-year-old Freedom, of Delmar, was born with an extremely rare eye condition called CHEDS 2. Doctors believe the condition would leave Freedom blind, but that hasn’t held back Freedom’s family from doing everything they can to give her hope. They join us today to talk about the journey they’re taking “from darkness to light.”
Sean’s hanging out on a paddle board today, ahead of the upcoming event, Paddle Second Chance. Over the past four years, the event has grown from a small stand up paddle board race, to one of the largest races on Delmarva. Hear how this event goes a long way in helping wounded soldiers.
We’re also getting a few Father’s Day gift ideas that will not only leaving dad feeling fabulous, but they’ll let him know how much you love him, too. Lisa stops by About Faces Day Spa and Salon to show you all of the possibilities!
Lieutenant Tim Robinson, of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, stops by with another batch of “Most Wanted Monday.” Hear how your watchful eye can not only help fight crime on Delmarva, but it may land you some cash, too!
