Sharon Simons, Author of ‘Mom at Last’
Sharon Simons joins us to share her journey to becoming a mother. After the devastating loss of her twins to stillbirth, Sharon refused to give up on being a mom, so she turned to adoption. In her book, Mom at Last, she shares her experiences and talks about the joys of being the mother of her two boys – now ten-years-old. She’s also created TheAdoptionApp to help other couples through their own adoption journeys.

Jimmy Charles
Delmarva’s own Jimmy Charles takes a break from chasing his dreams in Nashville to visit his home on the Eastern Shore. He keeps us updated on what he’s been up to in the music world. He’s been touring the country, singing his big break out song, “Superman” to men who have survived and are currently battling prostate cancer with Zero Cancer, a nonprofit organization on a mission to end prostate cancer. He wrote the song to encourage men to get prostate exams. He says, “men are not supermen,” they have to get checked. Jimmy brought his whole band with him to play “Superman” and “Cowboy Soul” on the show today. You can catch them again at Hopper’s Tap House where they will be playing two free shows on July 7 and July 8, from 8 pm-Midnight. Check out his latest song “Growing Up Too Fast,” on iTunes, and you can stay up-to-date with what’s happening next for Jimmy through his website.
Sean takes us to Ocean City for the Family Beach Olympics. Every Tuesday, from June 21 to August 2, at 27th Street Beach, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., families gather to compete in sand castle contests, tug-of-war, relay games and more!
In their favorite spot in the studio, Jimmy and Lisa cook Pan Fried Rockfish with Crab and Sweet Corn Cream Sauce with Chef Thomas O’Neil with Suicide Bridge Restaurant.
