What’s Happening Today – July 30, 2018
Today on DelmarvaLife:
The annual Jesus at the Beach Music & Ministry Festival kicked off today in Ocean City. This is the 24th year for the event, hosted by Son’Spot Ministries. The festival begins each morning through Wednesday, at the Ocean City Convention Center. Evening activities take place at 7pm on the beach at Caroline Street.
Something as simple as a blanket and a note of encouragement can mean the world to someone fighting cancer. It can let them know they’re not alone, and give them the push they might need to keep their head up. That’s one of the goals of the “Subaru Loves to Care” campaign, which is underway at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. We’ll hear how, with help from Gateway Subaru in Delmar, this program is touching lives, and how you can be a part of it.
You can also play a part in fighting crime on Delmarva. It’s as easy as paying attention, and calling in a tip to Crime Solvers if you recognize anyone featured on today’s list of Most Wanted Monday, but that’s just the start of the program. Hear how it can also lead to quite a boost in your bank account.
We’re getting an in-studio fashion show that can be described as flirty and fun. Our friends from LuLaRoe Beach Boutique are here with many unique, colorful, classy and comfortable looks. Whether you’re looking for a new back-to-school look, a work wardrobe, or just something to lounge in with friends and family, you’ll definitely find it here. We’ll show you just a few of the many possibilities, and find out what exciting arrival customers can expect in the coming weeks!
Fresh flavors fill the Kirby & Holloway Kitchen this afternoon. The Country Tart, Lynn Matava, is here with a family recipe – Grandma Jennie’s Stuffed Peppers. Lynn will also walk us through the steps of fermenting pickles – they’re good for the gut!
