Many may find it shocking that woven in with all the fun of summer comes what has been called “the 100 deadliest days” for teen drivers – and even more shocking, July 4th is the “deadliest day of the year” to be on the road. The Delaware Office of Highway Safety is launching its DUI “trash cab” video campaign. The campaign seeks to motivate more positive driving behavior by celebrating those who demonstrate it. The trash cab videos are an original concept that feature men and women who, instead of driving home under the influence, accepted a free ride from DOHS. In a fun, yet meaningful way, the videos also offer DUI awareness and education. Check out DOHS Facebook page for more information.
How lucky are we to live on Delmarva? Our farmers take pride in, quite literally, the fruits of their labor. 102 WBOC’s Corey Phoebus recently stopped by Kingsley Orchards on Blueberry Lane in Frankford, Del. to learn about their berries that are “grown with love.”
