What’s Happening Today – July 27, 2018
Today on DelmarvaLife –
It’s time to get those kids ready for school. Delmarvalife’s Sydney Whitfield is in studio to find out what you can be doing now to make that transition from summer fun to back-to-school, an easy one. Amanda Evans, with Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School in Berlin is here to give us those tips.
The band Black Dog Alley is from Easton and we are thrilled to have them joining us this afternoon on DelmarvaLife!
Next week is the ever-popular Shark-Week on the Discovery Channel. This is the 30th Anniversary of TV’s famous aquatic marathon.
The marathon has also inspired some killer Shark-Week cocktails like the Bull Shark Bite, Shark’s Dessert and Blood in the Water. Check out the full list here!
We’re in the Kirby And Holloway Kitchen this afternoon, where we can’t wait to sink our teeth into the dish we’re making. Chef Jeff Faille from The Street Kitchen in Berlin is making Blackened Tuna Tacos!
Blackened Tuna Tacos
- 4oz Ahi tuna
- soft corn tortillas
- cheddar cheese shredded
- fresh salsa
- ancho ranch

The Fifth Annual Recycled Cardboard Boat Regatta will cast off next Saturday at the Nanticoke River Public Marine Park in Blades.
It’s open to anyone who’s willing to build a boat from recycled cardboard and paddle it approximately 200 yards to the Regatta finish line. There are several award categories including “Pride of the Fleet,” “Most Whimsical Boat,” and “Team spirit.” Click here to learn how to enter.
We’re also talking to our friends at the Law Offices of Tunnell & Raysor about how your kid’s/teenager’s actions could land you in some serious hot water this summer.
