What’s Happening Today – July 22, 2019
Today on DelmarvaLife:
We’re just days away from the Chincoteague Pony Swim. Executive Director of the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce, Evelyn Shotwell, stops by with some “pony prepping” tips. She’ll discuss what people need to bring (bug spray, anyone?!) if they’re planning to watch the pony swim on Wednesday. She’ll also lay out where people will want to park. You can catch the pony swim live with WBOC. We’ll stream Wednesday morning’s swim on our digital platforms, including the WBOC App and Facebook page.
Many of you have heard of “Coffee with Cops,” but how about “Cones with Cops?” Ashley Miller from the Ocean City Police Department discusses how this new venture allows cops and children to bond over ice cream.
Lieutenant Tim Robinson, with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, stops by with this week’s list of Most Wanted Monday. If you recognize anyone on the list and report an anonymous tip to Crime Solvers of the Lower Eastern Shore, it may lead to a boost in your bank account. We’ll make the connection.
We’re learning how to make Pineapple Upside-Down Cake…in the microwave. Ann Taylor, of Princess Anne, stops by the DelmarvaLife Kitchen to show us how it’s done. The recipe is posted below. Enjoy!
