Jeff Murphy talks about the Pokémon Go 5-k race coming up
We’ve all been playing, or have at least heard about the popular new video game Pokémon Go. Instead of sitting on the couch all day, this game is encouraging people go outside and walk around to “catch em’ all.” Jeff Murphy, of Seaford, Del., decided to take it one step further by organizing a Pokémon Go 5k walk to raise money for the fight against childhood obesity. It’s called the Pokémon Go 5k Walk for our Future, and will take place on Sunday, July 31 at 9 a.m. The 5k will start at the Ocean City inlet. The event is free to participate but donations are encouraged. All of the money raised will go to the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. Keep checking back at the event’s Facebook page for parking information and other updates.
