What’s Happening Today – July 2, 2018
Today on DelmarvaLife:
Many people are going to be on the water for the Fourth of July, so let’s remember safe boating! The National Safe Boating Council and the Safe Boating Campaign point out that if you are fishing, boating, or just enjoying the day on the water, it’s important to boat responsibly. Click here for some steps you can take to make sure your boating excursions are as safe as possible.
It’s not every day you hear people talk of Desert Storm, but it’s an important piece of this country’s history. That’s why one group is working to build a National Desert Storm War Memorial. We’ll learn more about the inspiration behind this national effort with deep Delmarva roots.
We’re helping you make an outdoor oasis in your own backyard – one that won’t just look good, but feel good, too. Lisa stopped by Tyndall’s Casual Furniture to hear how the team there not only stays on top of the trends, but will see to it that you receive top-notch service.
We’re also visiting West-O Bottle Shop & Bar in West Ocean City. If you want cool cocktails and so much more, this is the place you’ll want to visit. We’ll also hear how a leap of faith by owners Sara and Dave will keep you in good spirits.
The Mini Marvelous Marshmallows are in Historic Studio D! They’re part of a North Salisbury Elementary Destination Imagination team. We’ll hear more about their recent competition, and even get some insight from them as they challenge Jimmy and Sydney.
We continue our giveaways in the 2018 DelmarvaLife Summer Guide. We announce four winners today. Will you be one of them?
