What’s Happening Today – July 14, 2016
Today on DelmarvaLife:
Rylie Maedler is a 10-year-old living with a rare bone tumor in her face and palate. That’s not stopping her from turning frowns upside-down. In fact, that’s the mission of Rylie’s Smile Foundation. Rylie and her mother Jane stop by the DelmarvaLife studio to tell us more about the foundation and their upcoming 5k on Sept. 5.
9-year-old Emma Zajdel from Ocean City, Md. reeled in a record breaking 94.6 pound Cobia a mile and half east of Assateague Island. She is in the studio today talking about her amazing catch.
Since we started the One Tank Trip series, Sean has been dying to get his hands on the keys to a convertible. In today’s One Tank Trip, he accomplished his goal and gets to explore Onancock in a shiny, new, red Jeep Wrangler.
Seaford’s Mayor, David Genshaw, joins us to talk about the city of Seaford, Del. He also plays a game of cornhole confessions with Jimmy and Lisa.
Executive Chef, Lion Gardner of The Blue Moon in Rehoboth Beach, Del., is in the kitchen making mission fig and prosciutto with summer truffles.
