What’s Happening Today – January 14, 2019
Today on DelmarvaLife:
Is there anything more annoying than a computer that just doesn’t work when you need it to the most? That wheel that just won’t stop spinning, a frozen screen, a machine that’s as slow as a snail? Been there, done that. Today, we’re doing our best to help you avoid those headaches. We sit down with Bill Justice, owner of Super Techs in Millsboro. He has some advice that can help keep your computer running in tip-top shape.
When it comes to the different stages of life, we all know there are certain vehicles that accommodate those periods of time. Younger days – maybe something sporty or sleek. A growing family? A mini van. For those who are fans of off-roading? Four wheel drive! But what if there was one vehicle that could mesh all of those features into one? That’s where the Subaru Outback comes into play. 102.5 WBOC‘s Corey Phoebus stops by Gateway Subaru, in Delmar, to get a hands-on lesson.
We have a new list of Most Wanted Monday – men and women, police say, have committed a crime and are on the run. Lt. Tim Robinson, with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, stops by with this week’s list. He’ll also explain how your watchful eye could lead to cash, if you call in a tip to Crime Solvers of the Lower Eastern Shore and it leads to an arrest.
We all hope that the ones we love – our family and friends – will always be there when we need them. That’s the idea that the team at Delaware Electric Cooperative wants to build on with each of its members, and it seems to be working. Last year was the Cooperative’s most reliable year yet – which means their members could depend on them to keep the power pumping all year long, without skipping a beat. DelmarvaLife’s Sydney Whitfield got to visit Delaware Electric Cooperative’s warehouse to get a better idea of the work that went into making 2018 so successful.
Artist Lori Dever, of Hurlock, stops by Historic Studio D. She has an eye for detail and a passion for creativity. We’ll show you some more of her work, and explain how Lori can become your teacher!
We take a trip back in time – a trip that is very close to the hearts of everyone at WBOC. Sixty five years ago this year, WBOC-TV first signed on the air, and a lot has changed since then. WBOC’s Steve Hammond joins us as we celebrate this milestone, and thank YOU, our viewers, for making it all possible.
