What’s Happening Today – Jan. 18, 2017
Today on DelmarvaLife:
Do you remember studying the sun when you were in elementary school? Today, we learn about an event where you can get up close and personal to the sun. Keith Koehler, a specialist with the office of communications at NASA Wallops Flight Facility, tells us about the sun and what the program entails. The event is Sat., Jan. 21 from 1 pm – 3 pm at NASA Wallops Facility and is free.
You’re probably familiar with Habitat for Humanity – the organization that works with the community to build affordable housing for families that have a need. Kevin Gilmore is the executive director of Sussex County Habitat for Humanity and Rachel Grier-Reynolds is a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. They join us on the couches today to talk about how they are changing lives.
We’ve told you before how you can get a great deal on a car at the Delaware Auto Exchange. If you’ve never been to an auto auction before, don’t worry, they have a first time buyer seminar to teach you how it’s done. Ron and CJ Faison, father-son duo and business partners, talk about a new way for car dealers to buy from them.
We’re in the kitchen with Chef Sharliena Berry with Karmic Creations Cakes and Catering to make some game-day treats! Not only are they delicious but they’re low carb and gluten free.
