One-in-100 babies are born with a congenital heart defect, or CHD. We learn about Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation and how the group is spreading the word about CHD through the month of February. Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation was created to honor the memory of Wyatt Mercer Shipe who was born with TGA, Transposition of the Greater Arteries. Wyatt only lived 44 days, but his family and friends set out on a mission to help families at a difficult time by providing comfort, support, education and encouragement.
This Sunday, Southside Jiu Jitsu Academy is offering a free anti-bullying seminar. Owner Miles Moffit talks about bullying and its affect on kids and how solving the bullying problem involve addressing the bully and the child who is being bullied through self-confidence and self-esteem boosters. The seminar is Sunday, February 17th at 1 p.m. at Southside Jiu Jitsu Academy’s NEW location inside Pure Fitness in Salisbury.
