Today on DelmarvaLife –
Sometimes the stories we share on DelmarvaLife are inspirational. Others are joyful. However, today, we’re sharing a story that is heartbreaking. Cenzy Thorton is living with a very rare disease, called Tay-Sachs. Tay-Sachs disease does not have a cure and we are sitting with the Thornton family to learn more about it. We’ll also learn about Cenzy’s family is holding it together day by day. The last few months have taken a toll on the Thornton’s, so If you would like to donate, click this link.
Day after day, kids bring homework home. For parents, it can be a struggle just to get them to sit down and do it. Today we have some tips for getting the most out of homework time. Here to help Is Kelly Macpherson, a second-grade teacher at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School in Berlin
Getting a new home is easier than you might think if you follow a few simple steps. Today, we’re covering the most important step, securing a mortgage. Michael Sterner, the Executive Vice President of Provident State Bank’s Mortgage Division is teaching us out how simple securing a mortgage can be.
We’re also hanging out in the DelmarvaLife kitchen with WBOC multi-media journalist Lauren Hitch as she creates some pretty cool D-I-Y Valentine’s day crafts. All of her crafts were found on Pinterest and we will post a link to all of them very soon!
