What’s Happening Today – Feb. 2, 2018
Today on DelmarvaLife:
If you haven’t heard the students of Rock and Roll Revival, here is your chance. The students of James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury come to the studio to perform songs from their concert. In its 20th year, the show features 2 hours of songs from the past as you watch high school students of all ages perform choreography to some of your favorite songs.
Bob and Dory Hayman, the show’s leaders, join us to talk about the event and how it benefits not only James M. Bennett High School, but the children involved in the production too. The concert will be taking place on the weekends of February 9-11 and 15-18 at James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury. Tickets can be purchased by going here!
As rewarding being a parent can be, those with children born with a chronic illness or disability face daily struggles that can be rather exhausting. The physical and emotional toll it can take on not only parents, but children as well can make life difficult. Today, we speak to Dr. Holly Hatton, special education supervisor for Wicomico County, as well as Lavon Adkins, event supervisor for “Partners of Success.” They talk about the challenges those who have children with disabilities face on a day-to-day basis and how a workshop they will be holding can help parents learn techniques to help better care for their child with special needs. The workshop will take place Wednesday, February 7th in the school system building located at 101 Long Ave in Salisbury.
After last weeks Fess Up Friday, 102.5 WBOC’s Corey Phoebus is back again with another. Watch the show to see just what question he’s posing to the people of Delmarva.
Do you ever find yourself letting the occasional, or more than occasional curse word slip at your workplace? Well, you’re not alone. One survey found 57% of worker admitted to swearing on the job. On the show, we’ve got some tips for you to help keep you from using profanity at work.
