What’s Happening Today – August 2, 2018
Today on DelmarvaLife:
Do you believe in magic? You will after today. “Thirty Years of Magic” is the theme of this year’s Caroline Summerfest. We’ll learn more about this free, family festival that’s easy on the wallet. We’re also creating a little magic of our own. Professional Balloon Artist Paul Belanger is here to show us how to create amazing works of art using balloons.
How about some art that floats, or is, at least, supposed to float. 102.5 WBOC’s Corey Phoebus previews the 5th Annual Recycled Cardboard Boat Regatta. The event takes place this Saturday, August 4, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Nanticoke Marine Park in Seaford.
We’re learning about Porch Protection Systems today. It’s a system that allows you to use your porch year-round. Whether it’s snowing, sleeting, raining – whatever type of weather – you can count on a comfortable temperature with the Porch Protection System. We stop by the production facility in Delmar to see how they’re made.
We’ll also share more information with you about zones for your home’s HVAC system. It’s a way to control the airflow to different rooms in your home. If you have questions, contact your local YORK dealer today.
The many traditions we have on Delmarva are treasured. Preparations are underway now, for one of those traditions – the “Art in Nature” Photo Festival at the Ward Museum, Salisbury University. This WBOC-sponsored event is not only a tradition, but it’s one that celebrates some of the incredible beauty you can find by simply stepping outside. We’ll sit down with the Ward Museum’s Shawna Kearsley to learn more about it.
