Warriors for Wyatt Story and Upcoming Walk
Jen Shipe and Tracy Lewis join us to tell us about the Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation. Jen tells about her son Wyatt who was born with a congenital heart defect. Wyatt passed away 44 days after he was born. Jen received a care package during their time in the hospital that contained baby items and everyday things that you don’t think about. The care package came courtesy of another mom who’s child was going through the same thing Wyatt was. Now, they both work together on Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation to make sure that all families and babies born at PRMC who may have to be sent to an out of town intensive care unit, like their children, have a care package as well. The Warriors Walk for Wyatt event is Saturday, May 14 from 10 am – 1 pm at Winterplace Park in Salisbury, Md. For more information, go here.
