What’s Happening Today – April 1, 2019
Today on DelmarvaLife –
We kick-off National Donate Life Month by introducing you to a woman who is not only a living kidney donor, but an official Donate Life Ambassador. Janet Sommer talks about her decision to donate a kidney to a stranger.
It will be two years this month, since we lost Delaware State Police Corporal Stephen Ballard, who was killed in the line of duty. Words like “valiant” and “hero” have been used to describe Cpl. Ballard, so it just seems fitting that his name is attached to an event that can, very well, save lives. Marketing Communications Specialist with the Blood Bank of Delmarva, Tony Prado; and Account Manager, Ralph Groves talk about an upcoming blood drive in memory of Cpl. Ballard.
