However, this time not only will Jared and his dad perform not one, but two songs, he also shares some fun facts about himself, as well as very big news about his future! Also joining us today are the Delmarva D.I.V.A, which stands for “Dedicated Involved Versatile Athletes“. This group of young ladies is not only an accomplished group of athletes, but also driven individuals in their communities. We sit down with some of them to discuss what the program does to empower young women on Delmarva to strive for success. Plus, we learn about an upcoming event the group is hosting that will not only have fun activities for all the attendees, but will also have powerful talks and conversations by piers and mentors hoping to inspire and prepare ladies for the future.
Speaking of inspiring, we meet the very inspiring and newly crowned Mrs. Delaware 2017, Ivana Hamilton. Ivana was crowned in early June and has since hit the ground running. Today we hear all the details about her future, her platform as well as learn a bit more about the woman underneath the crown, plus how she’s preparing herself for the big competition, Mrs. United States Pageant in August.
However it’s July, and the Fourth is right around the corner, and that means lots of family, food, fireworks and fun! To help get us, and our homes, in the holiday spirit WBOC’s Lauren Hitch stops by the set to show us some fun and very easy crafts for the Fourth. Everything from a handmaid wreath to festive confetti poppers, she’s warming up her glue gun and getting ready to make some patriotic crafts.
