Latest Weather Update with WBOC’s Dan Satterfield – Monday, Nov. 23, 2015

WBOC’s Chief Meteorologist Dan Satterfield says that the predicted winds to come in Washington State can be from El Nino.

El Nino affects to an area is measured off of a region in the middle of the ocean. Dan also specified that there are 3 different regions called:

• The 3 region
• The 4 region
• The 3.4 region

If the levels are high on any one of these regions, the weather can affect many different areas. The Delmarva area falls in between the regions, so we can have an average winter or a completely different winter.  Also, he believes we shouldn’t expect a lot of snow this winter due to the warmer weather we have had in November.
