Holiday Plants at Lakeside Greenhouses – Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015

Lakeside Greenhouses in Laurel, Del. has many holiday plants growing in their greenhouses this season. Sean stops by and talks to Craig Rice who helps run things at Lakeside Greenhouses about how the business has been thriving for the past 43 years.

Craig’s father-in-law started the business with one greenhouse back in 1942, and now they have over 20 greenhouses. At the time, they are growing house plants for 2016. They also have many poinsettias.

Craig says there are 300-400 different varieties of colors of poinsettias. At Lakeside Greenhouses, they have about 15 different varieties. They also have Christmas cacti and potted plants. Lakeside Greenhouse will also be selling lots of greens during the holiday season.
