Freeze the Fat with ‘Coolsculpting’ – Angie’s List – Thursday, August 27, 2015
With so many people packing on the pounds, it’s safe to say that a quick fix weight loss treatment would be welcomed. Angie Hick’s from Angie’s List tells us all about a quick, affordable way to ‘freeze off the fat.’
Glendal Jones wanted to drop weight fast so she decided to try ‘coolsculpting.’ This method of loosing weight has only been available in the U.S. for a few years. It is FDA approved and promoted as a cheaper, quicker way to lose pounds, compared to liposuction and other invasive procedures.
Angie Hicks, from Angie’s List, says, “You want a certified technician and a well-regarded medical facility. And also, please keep in mind, this is not a cure-all. A healthy lifestyle, exercising, eating right, is what’s going to, in the long run, help you maintain a good weight.”
Denise Kaler, Health and Wellness Consultant, says, “”It’s ideal for people that just have those stubborn spots. Maybe it’s the love handles, a muffin top; inner thighs that they just don’t like or maybe they want a little inner thigh gap, the new trendy thing.”
Coolsculpting works by attaching a special applicator to the treatment area. It chills the skin, and over time, freezes and kills the fat cells in that area before they are naturally eliminated. “You can count on about 30 percent of reduction of fat and once the fat is gone, it’s gone for good,” Denise said.
Art Brock, Fitness Expert, says he recommends coolsculpting for people on a good nutrition and exercise plan. Art says, “I’m all about achieving goals, and if this is what helps them achieve their goal, and they’re still healthy, and they’re still not having to put drugs in their body to do it, then why shouldn’t I be behind it?”
These sessions take about an hour for each area treated and Angie says it cost about $750.00 per session, with discounts available for multiple treatments.
