Dan Satterfield Talks About Hurricanes – Wednesday, July 8, 2015
The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration predicted a below normal season. Dan says it is because they thought an El Nino would develop. An El Nino is an area of warm weather that develops off the coast of South America and that switches the atmosphere around.
Dan says the last strong El Nino was in 2010, and that is when we had a rough winter which we called “Snowmagedon.” Dan says every El Nino is different and other factors go into the winter weather. Dan said it’s going to be an interesting winter.
