Back to School: Chesapeake Eye Center – Thursday, August, 27, 2015
Dr. Smoot says, “The best time to do that is to have their initial eye exam sometime before preschool, around age three or four, then we have a chance to intervene if there is a delay in visual development or some other issue that needs to be addressed, we like to address that before age five.”
Dr. Smoot says they try to make eye exams fun for kids. Eye exams can really help your child in school if they are having a hard time seeing things far away or up close. Glasses are made in all shapes and sizes, so even if your young child has to get glasses, Chesapeake Eye Center can help them now, and years to come.
