Cholesterol is a fatty substance called a lipid. It helps our body function normally. A good cholesterol is when the HDL is 40-45. Cholesterol is mainly produced in the liver but can be found in foods. Avocados help with lowering cholesterol as well spicy foods such as jalapenos and chili peppers.
Cullen Timmons, UVA medical student, was having chest pains and one day he put the stethoscope to his own heart and realized something was wrong. He had an aneurysm and had open heart surgery a week later. Cullen says if he hadn’t been in medical school, his condition probably would have been left un-diagnosed.
