Upcoming Pokemon Go 5k Walk for Our Future Event in Ocean City, Md. Raises Money for Childhood Obesity
Childhood obesity is a growing problem in America and here on Delmarva. The debate heats up when you assign blame.
Is it the parents fault, fast food, maybe video games? It could be all of the above, but the latest video game craze is getting a lot of young people off the couch and outside.
We’re talking about Pokemon Go. Jeff Murphy, from Seaford, Del., organized a fundraising 5k walk, all while catching Pokemon.
The Pokemon Go 5k Walk for Our Future is Sunday, July 31 starting at 9 am in Ocean City, Md. Money raised will go to Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
The Alliance for a Healthier Generation works with schools and community organizations and families to transform the conditions and systems that lead to healthier kids. Their goal is to reduce the prevalence of childhood obesity and to empower kids to develop lifelong, healthy habits.
