Seaford Nanticoke Health Pavilion Dedication Slated for Nov. 13
On Friday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m., Nanticoke Health Services hosted a dedication ceremony followed by a public open house for its newest location in Seaford. The new Nanticoke Health Pavilion will house primary care and specialty physicians from the Nanticoke Physician Network, along with Immediate Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Walk-In Lab and Outpatient Rehabilitation services.
According to Sharon Harrington, director of marketing for Nanticoke Health Services, the group broke ground on the Seaford location in September 2014 and received the keys last week.

Harrington said this new facility has two wings and two floors with primary and specialty care.
“This building allows more services to one location to make it easier for patients,” Harrington said. “The new part of the building adds about 33,0000 additional square feet, 170 new rooms (exam rooms), and eight physician practices are relocated in the building including primary and specialty care.”
In the new health services building, there will be an Abbott’s Express, a subsidiary of Abbott’s on Broadcreek, with a kiosk open with grab and go menu items.
“If you go to a lab and are done fasting, you can go to Abbott’s and get that cup of coffee you’ve been wanting,” Harrington said.

The Nov. 13 event kicked off with a dedication ceremony from 2-2:30 p.m. where Steve Rose, RN, MN, president/CEO of Nanticoke Health Services, Gov. Jack Markell, Sen. Tom Carper, Sen. Chris Coons, and Rep. John Carney spoke.
Photo opportunities and interviews were held from 2:30-3 p.m. followed by a public open house from 3-5 p.m.
“This building will make more access to care, [and] it’ll make it more convenient with increased operational efficiency,” Harrington said. “It’s the largest of three pavilions.”
Harrington said instead of having 70-80 employees scattered throughout different buildings, they will be in one building. She mentions this will create more face-to-face collaboration, improving case review and helping things run a lot smoother.
