Tim Hill, a Delaware resident, is not letting his diagnosis get him down, but rather live life to the fullest.
Hill, who suffers from ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis – also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) explains that when ALS attacks the body, a disconnect happens between the brain and the spinal nerves, and causes sections of the body to also disconnect from the body.
Hill says that he is grateful to be in such good health regarding the circumstances, since there are many who cannot continue to work with this diagnosis.
Despite Hill’s medical history, he chooses to live as adventurously as possible.
In 2014, Hill pledged and completed a 10-mile walk from Bethany Beach to Rehoboth Beach to fund raise for his foundation, Ten Mile Miracle. The following year, he jumped out of an airplane, and this year he is participating in a pro-wrestling event.
“We used to jump off the kitchen table when we were kids, so I love it,” says Hill.
This will be a family event to bring together the community and to raise more funds for the Ten Mile Miracle Foundation.
