Take Back the Night at Salisbury University, April 18
The arrest of singer R. Kelly on charges of sexually abusing dozens of women and young girls is just one of several high-profile cases we’ve seen in the media over the past couple of years.
Although Kelly denies the charges, it has people talking, and that’s important. It wasn’t too long ago that many survivors of sexual violence didn’t speak out for fear of no one believing them, or being told it was their fault.
“Take Back the Night” is a global movement to change that. Trauma Therapist with Life Crisis Center, Dee Copeland talks about a local “Take Back the Night” event Thursday, April 18th at 6:30 in Holloway Hall at Salisbury University.
