A few weeks ago, we told you about Lori and Dave Brown of Laurel – the married couple both battling cancer. Dave was receiving treatment in Chicago and Wednesday night, he returned home. He was welcomed by friends, family, and his dog who threw him a surprise welcome home party. Dave is home for six weeks and then will return to Chicago for a CAT scan.
When it comes time to decide who will take care of your children while you are working is probably one of the toughest decisions you’ll make. Not only do you have to consider what’s best for your child, there’s cost, convenience, and location. Brian Siatkowski is a community outreach specialist with the Maryland State Department of Education’s Maryland Excels Branch; and Mary Beth Johnson is a quality assurance specialist, and they join us to talk about Maryland Excels.
The 7th Annual Bark in the Park hosted by Talbot Humane is Sat., Oct. 8 from 8 am-Noon at Idlewild Park. Patty Quimby, the executive director from Talbot Humane joins us to tell us all about the event. There will be a 5k run/walk, dog walk parade, dog show, tail wagging contest, music, food, and more!
