Gas Prices – Monday, April 13, 2015
Currently the national average is 2.39, Delaware is 2.36, Maryland is 2.37 and Virginia is 2.20. Breitling Energy CEO, Chris Faulkner said that we should plan on forming a North American Confederation.
“We are a sizable counterpart to Opec, and I want to be able to slow down their use of the oil sword that they have been manipulating prices all over the world in the past several decades.” said Faulkner.
Last June, Saudia Arabia decreased the price of oil by 60%, causing the U.S to lay down 900 rigs. Following this decrease in price, 30% of jobs were loss.
For a better understanding on the energy revolution, Faulker created a documentary called Breaking Free. He said he hopes this documentary will help you understand how big of an impact this story has on our country.
“I’ve been in the oil patch for seven years and I’ve met a tremendous amount of people that have benefited from this energy revolution,” said Faulkner. “Whether it was personally through a job or family, or whether it was through the community, because they were getting new schools, churches and roads because of what the energy revolution has done.”
With all of these issues happening, Faulker said he hopes that Mexico and Canada will soon join us. He said Mexico has to deal with half priced oil and lost jobs all because of Opaque wanted to flex their muscles a little bit.
“Before when we were producing 2-3 barrels of oil, we were no threat to Opaque,” said Faulkner. “Now with 20 million combined, we are a threat to them. We could be their counterpart, which is something they haven’t seen before and I think it scares them.”
Faulkner said he hopes that the President will see what is going on and will stand behind the issue at hand.
