Officials in Cambridge kicked off Black History Month by celebrating the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park – 2,775 acres in Dorchester county, 2,200 acres in Caroline and 775 acres n Talbot.
Easton native Col. (Ret.) William De Shields will discuss the behind-the-scenes work of being an historian for the Tuskegee Airmen and their missions over Europe. He’ll be at the Talbot County Free Library at noon, February 19.
Nursing students from Wor-Wic Community College and members of the college’s nursing student organization are helping two local organizations. The program has an OB/GYN mannequin to practice delivering babies. The mannequin (Or mom-equinn?) has a name, but not the baby! You can vote with a baby shower, where Charlie Paparella is performing!
The Division of Fish and Wildlife‘s new 2015 Delaware Fishing Guide is now available from agents throughout the state. Anglers can also pick up a copy of the guide at the main office in Dover, and the guide is also available online.
