Sean talks with Sharon Jernigan, ALS Clinic Coordinator, tells us what we can expect from the event, Salisbury Walk to Defeat ALS. She said there is a DJ, Captain Willie, bounce house, face painting, food, and more. Sharon expects over 200 people to be at the event and wants to raise $50,000. The money provides equipment for ALS patients, grants for transportation, and helps provide care for patients.
Karen Kriege was diagnosed with ALS over a year ago. Karen said it was difficult at first but with the support of the clinic, she has been able to keep her spirits up. Her family is coming from Maine for the walk and she has raised $4,500 with hopes to raise more.
