Short Ribs Braised in Big Oyster Brewery Oyster Stout: DelmarvaLife Facebook Live Show Recipe: Oct. 25, 2017
Big Oyster Brewery recently opened their new location in Lewes, Del.
We thought we’d have them on our Facebook Live Show so we could learn more about Big Oyster Brewery beers and the daily food specials they offer. Head Chef William Somoza and Beer Director, Mike Anderson, join us in the DelmarvaLife kitchen today.
We’re making short ribs braised in Big Oyster Brewery Oyster Stout served with a vegetable medley and potatoes.
Big Oyster Brewery Oyster Stout is made with a creamy dark chocolate with dark roasted notes complimented by a subtle caramel sweetness and brewed with oyster shells. The shells are incorporated during the boiling process and the calcium helps add clarity to the beer.
Big Oyster Brewery is a concept of Fins Hospitality Group. The brewery began production in 2015 with a seven-barrel system inside Fins Ale House on Coastal Highway. They recently opened their newest facility in September 2017 which includes a 15-barrel brew house as well as a full restaurant. Big Oyster Brewery also distributes to other restaurants with the Fins Hospitality Group as well as over 100 accounts in Delaware, accounts in North East Maryland and accounts in Wicomico and Worcester counties. The brewery plans on having cans available at the end of the year.
Big Oyster Brewery is open daily for lunch and dinner with 16 beers on tap, a full bar and wine list, and happy hour from 4 pm-7 pm, Monday-Thursday and from 11:30 am-8 pm on Fridays and Sundays. Restaurant hours are 11:20 am-9 pm, Monday through Friday, 11:30 am-9:30 pm on Saturdays, and noon-9:30 pm on Sundays.
